Former ACT President, Marlys Schultz, announced in the June, 2006 membership
meeting that she would be stepping down. Marlys began her administrative duties in the
1997-1998 season. Prior to that, one could always see her in her painting clothes (doesn't
like painting black), helping out with set building, hanging scrims and building props.
Being a "theatre person" also meant that she could even be seen performing on stage.
Through all of the nuances that a volunteer organization entails, she has been one of the central points of stability and focused direction. During her tenure we have seen many needed improvements and enhancement to our organization. Some of the major accomplishments during her watch were: the paving of the parking lot, the installation of a badly needed new roof, the installation of insulation on the north and south walls, the installation of three new furnaces, and the presentation of thirty six plays. We at ACT can proudly say that we have enjoyed her leadership, stability, and friendship. |
